i was just wondering.... would it be possible to have a personal notification system... kinda like the ones used on sites like facebook. just a small system to tell you if someone has posted in your thread or a thread you've recently posted in .... the only reason i ask of this is because when i check the site it can usually take a while to find threads that I've posted in and the recent post/threads thing is only limited to a certain number of threads/posts.... I'm just thinking a system like this could make the site a lot more dynamic and a lot easier to use....

you can already subscribe to threads and forums and you will be sent a email with new posts and threads

is that what you mean? or you can read todays posts

well i was thinking more of just having a tab in the corner that notifies any activity in a thread you've posted in...... it would be nice to have, especially if you've been away from the void for a while.....

i was thinking of having a similar system but inside EP.... like you get a PM or something every time a message is posted in a thread that you've posted in..... which would save you having to look up your email every time....

@ senseito: i wasn't particularly thinking of the little pop-up message you get but rather the tab in the top corner which shows any activity



^like this tab here^.... obviously wee don't want to copy it but something similar could be used to show thread activity and perhaps even rep you've received ....(there is in fact a large gap in the top toolbar of the site that something could be put into....

i know facebook isn't that great an example and some harsh comments might be said but the notification system is one of the (very few) things i like in facebook.... in no way am i saying wee should turn into facebook I'm just sharing some ideas on how wee could make browsing ep a lot smoother...

i don't actually use live anymore.... that e-mail is just there now rotting away..... i still use my yahoo so yeah.... if wee could have an auto notification system then it would be great... rather than having to subscribe to threads all the time wee just got email notification straight away.....
