And Kanon's back stories are somewhat unrealistic anyway. how everything's linked together, how the love from back then (probably just childs play) carries over 7 years when they hardly know each other any more, and how the guy just suddenly lost his memory, for whatever reason is never explained.

Perhaps.. Assassinator. But that's a reason... and that's not mine. I just enjoyed Kanon more. Just loved it more... the story and characters are just so much more lovable than the eminating HATRED and BETRAYAL and not-exactly-happy-ending of KgNE.

Actually, IMO KgNE is more easy to understand. You have to wonder why the characters go in circles (literally) until the one in the wheelchair gets abandoned.

I actually thought KgNE had one of the best endings out of all the anime I've watched.

As for HATRED and BETRAYAL and CRUEL FATE... how come you like Elfen Lied so much then.

Because of Lucy's story. It was beautiful. I can't really put it better.

maybe not a show...... I thought the ending was rather wonderful O_o

Finished it.

Enjoyed it though didn't necessarily like it... I still don't like the ending. And something tells me last time I watched it I cut off right after "the break off" on the last episode... don't remember seeing a thing after that [not that theres much].

Gonna be watching ~Next Season~ next, looking forward to it too.

As for my sister, she basically said in a nutshell that she'd buy Air over Rumbling Hearts, and it didn't seem like she was happy with the ending either.

I have to admit though - Mitsuki got way more than she deserved. She's definitely not going into my "Star Anime Girls" books.

Again, Haruka is an angel... you still can't help but feel for her.

Takayuki is a fudgeing wimp. If I were him I just COULDN'T leave Haruka alone when she was crying in her bed, beating up her legs. I couldn't. Takayuki is a prick. How could you leave her like that - if you love her or not? It's just plain horrible.

*sigh*

Anyway... there will be a rewatch (3rd/4th time for me, 1st for my sister) of the infamous Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora right after Next Season... then I will know for sure which is better.

Next Season is really a disappointment To be honest.  They seem to being trying to continue the mood but it lacks a lot of polish.
