Just got AudioSurf, awesome stuff.

Anywho. A tournament would be cool. As for the song picking...
Everyone subs a song, even non-participants. Then the organizer picks like 3 of them, and everyone must play those, adding their scores or whatever over the songs, playing at the same difficulty level.
Screenshots as proof.
Alternatively, one non-participant picks songs, and everyone uses those.

Just an idea.
