RE: Recover folder no longer work ?
i had a problem like this before. way back when i was on 3.40oe. i think the problem was that you can't tun official sony updaters on a hacked psp. i tried to run the 1.50 update throug recovery and the same thing happened. this was in the days before pandora so it was a pretty worrying experience. try running the 3.40oe installer, that's how i fixed mine.

RE: Recover folder no longer work ?
matchung Wrote:brcu Wrote:Thanks for everyones help. I'm on 3.90-2 M33 and it doesn't want to reinstall 3.80 or what ever firmware version I try via recovery (I remember it working the past though, v odd).
I will stay on 3.90, I only wanted to go back to 3.80 as its easier to change/edit themes as some editors are not compatible with 3.90 yet.
in my case, i backup all M33 firmwares.. 371/380/390.. i can go back anytime
that won't work without pandora
i tried going from 3.90 to 3.80 and bricked
but luckily had a pandora to fix my psp
its because the nids have been changed

RE: Recover folder no longer work ?
My original post possibly wasn't that clear, psp works fine on 3.90M33-2 but I wanted to go back to 3.80 without pandora.
I'm just a little confused at to the purpose of the the recovery eboot on 3.90.
In the past you could get back to 1.50 without pandora via recovery and now it seems that running the recovery eboot has no purpose unless used in conjunction with pandora.
Thanks for the clarificaition squee666
