RE: is YouTube a piece of chocolate, or is my computer a piece of choc
I got a program that pretty much lowers framerate and refresh rate, and makes firefox use less then 10mb ram. It works fine, but I stopped using it since I'd rather wait for it to load and play awesome than making framerate bad. Anyone want it, so I know if I should bother uploading it or not..

If you've had the same browser window open for a while now, I recommend closing it, making sure its terminated in Task Manager, if not, terminate it, and reloading.
It should be better.
Firefox still has some severe memory leaking problems, I ended up with 1.2GB~ usage on 2 Tabs. Here and MAL... even at 500MB it starts lagging badly.

Apparently the Flash 10.1 prerelease has GPU accelerated decoding, if your GPU supports it (nVidia 8xxx series or later, or ATI Radeon HD 3xxx or later cards). http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/...ation.html
It may help, though from your description, it's perhaps more of a browser issue...
