Good Batch media converter for the archos 5
yeah guys, im using xvid4psp right now but its just a horrible pain to convert any anime season to the right format (and its the only thing i have to convert actually, because everything else works

so to be plain and simple i have yet to find a good video converter that rivals xvid4psp options (like mkv support and huge file base support) and all ive found was chocolateware and viruses

So if ANYONE has a good converter that i can simply just drag say, a bunch of .mkv files; set them all for a same property then convert it to a res of 800x600 and is perfectly playable on the archos 5 PLEASE tell me

hell i even tried 3GP converter to get this to work :(

MY SIG IS FUCKING DEAD

I use Free Video Converter. It can convert to almost everything, and it has a batch mode.

http://www.tucows.com/preview/518513

Just make sure when installing, uncheck the "I Agree" thing, so it doesn't install Dealio.

Well, I don't think it has MKV suppot (I use OjoSoft's converter for that, but it's not free).

MediaCoder? it takes a little getting used to but i quite like it. use the 'extension' button at the top to load up the Archos preset or you could put in all the parameters yourself if you're feeling adventurous.

MediaCoder is free and it uses whatever codecs are installed on your computer (i think) so as long as you have a decent codec pack installed it should support MKV files.

MeGUI. (Install Avisynth first if you don't have that already).

Use the Archos profile.

I warn you it's not too user friendly though, you have to do some of the stuff yourself. (Which also means it's very flexible, and quite powerful).
