Well, as of yesterday, Our stock market has been back on the rise. Not anywhere near where it needs to be at, but the fact that it is on a positive increase is good.

Last I heard, it went back down again - the slight boost in confidence isn't enough...

EDIT: conversion rate back down :/  Let's hope the US's $250 billion plan does something...

Investing in foreign currency?  Typically that doesn't give that high a return, though this plunge probably was different.  Nice.

The 700 billion wall street bailout plan is a joke. Wee are giving them money for screwing up... Is that capitalism? If i were president i would be holding executions right now! lol

Yep.

Wee never generally invest in that. But this time, looking at how the Australian dollar has risen...

But sold too early. Could've made like twice as much if wee sold when the conversion was like ~0.6.

So my parents are like not happy... even though they made money. :\

Saying that Banks in America lent too much money to bad people who couldn't pay their loans doesn't quite cut it.  I fail to understand how that can result in what wee're going through right now...?

Well, okay, here's the story:

It was a fine day in May 2007, when suddenly, two aliens descended from space wearing green masks (no the aliens weren't green - they looked more silver actually).  Both these green masked aliens claimed that they were the head of the Federal Reserve.  When asked by the security guards why their faces were green, they simply stated, in their own language, that it was their natural colour.  It seemed to be a good enough reason for the guards, as they let them in.
Inside the building, the aliens 'borrowed' lots and lots of cash, and they modified many many records.  Then they quickly quickly rushed out to their big big spaceship, which was parked right outside The Whitehouse.  There, they left Earth, with the billions of US dollars which they intend to use to fund their intergalactic laser and fire it at another galaxy.
