RE: Operating Systems of the Modern Age
most common users now a days usually want some simplistic approach when comes to os, as they say they are "busy", they don't have time to install any complicated softwares in their machines, instead they already buy a package full of eyecandys, but yeah somewhat useful to some common users, and usually businessmans don't usually want a complicated software, they just want to encode a pricelist, then post it under dow jones

but yeah i miss those complicated days where you only use msdos prompt for running applications, using syntax, etc, then windows 3.1 shows in our stores, lol, yeah i also once used a linux, but its not that complicated though, its just compatibility of programs with it makes it more complicated, lol

Spoiler for don't look, might destruct your mind:

^ Do everything from bash then, lol :P  I've seen a number of people who only ever use bash, even text based web browsers (I can't quite image those To be honest).

and i never found a theme that really blows me away like win7 or mac; and numerous 3rd party apps are always written for windows

You aren't SUPPOSED to try to do that Tetris, you're supposed to use Native applications where possible. In that case, OpenOffice.

You shouldn't install Linux to emulate Windows apps. That's just plain stupid...
