go to WhatsMyIP.org and click on the 'More info about me' link on the left. its quite scary quite how much info can be discovered about your computer by a website...

also its quite useful to find out how your school connects to the internet, and so being able to work out what the settings in FireFox Portable need to be for it to work... 'Traceroute' is especially useful...

I know a lot of it is just the HTTP headers your browser sends out to the server.
I think the rest is Javascript detection, but haven't checked.

Saves time searching for the info yourself I guess though :P  Thanks
