RE: Snes9xTYL 0.4.2mecm | Build date 5-3-08 |
It seems to have a lot of the old bugs that the version I used to have supposedly fixed.  For instance, there is a chance of your sound stopping if you go to the snes9xtyl menu while playing a game, resulting in the game not having sound if you use a savestate at that point.  Also, it has a much higher chance of the snes game freezing, especially at the title screen.  The .4.2me version I used never had these problems.  However, DKC seems to be running better in this version. I am torn...

New version with many fixes. Games run even faster on the Slim and most likely the Fat. I tested F-Zero again and I get 55± FPS.

See 1st post.

RE: Update: Snes9xTYL 0.4.2mecm | Build date 5-13-08 |
I have a strange problem with this build... It does run faster then 0.42ME for me on my fat but I get a lot of "Out of Memory" errors, mainly when trying to import a savestate... I noticed after launching a game my PSP would only have 230kb of free RAM. After I disabled the Menu Music and Menu Background the free RAM jumped to 480kb. A bit more but still very low compared to a fresh install of the emu where I had 1.7MB free RAM. The memory problems seemed to have started after I copied various files like saves etc from the old ME version folder to the new one. Or might be the music I added to the EBOOT the cause for this? Anyone experienced similar problems?
