Some of you may have already heard on Facebook. Me and a couple of friends booked out a studio in uni for some messing about and practicing for a test wee have next week. One of them brought a guitar.
The studio next door had been left unlocked with a case of drum microphones sitting at the back which wee borrowed. After wee broke the Radar recorder (basically a big tape recorder but based on a hard drive instead of tape) wee fired up the computer in there and had a play with Pro Tools (never used it before in my life).
Back in the live room wee set up the mics (2 small diaphram condensers, can't remember make/model) and I jumped back in the control room. This is what happened:

Yep someone else playing the guitar. I don't really play. I barely know the guy. He was just there when I turned up.
Here are the nicer versions. Smoothed out the dynamics a little, a touch of EQ and a little bit of reverb. The live room attached to the studio wee were using is pretty lively anyway so it didn't need too much. If I could I'd try and get rid of all the clattering and whinind in the background. There was someone else in the room playing about with a keyboard at the time.
