I saw it and although I do agree that it's possible she may have not a say in this I still think she did this on her own choice. I mean you had all these extra puppies you don't want, give them away instead of killing them am I right?

On another idea, she could be trying to save the earth from global warming. A dog has double the carbon output of an SUV.

Can't seem to find much info as to why it was thrown away (illness? family is poor?).

I have heard, for example, that because of China's one child per family policy, and many families wanting a son (to carry the family name), that some parents dump baby girls in the garbage or find some other way of getting rid of them. Harsh reality I guess.
