Okay, first whenever I log on to my user account, this error comes up saying
"To help protect you computer Windows has closed this program

Name: Generic Host Process for Win32 Services
Publisher: Microsoft Corporation"

Then it says "Generic Host Process for Win32 Sevices encounted a problem and needed to close"

Then at random a shutdown sequence begins which is initaned by NT AUTHORITY/SYSTEM

Hehe, svchost.exe is crashing.

Umm, if you get that shutdown screen, go Start » Run and type shutdown -a  This will cancel the shutdown.
Now, check for viruses and also check your services.  It's probably something installed which crashes svchost

yeah also you can try uninstalling any new programs and if no virus is found run sfc from start » run with the command line:
SFC /SCANNOW
make sure you have your original copy of windows in the drive you installed windows from.
it does sound like a virus so good luck.
