Well it is japan and what i heard is that narly people can get married if they don't make big $$; which could contribute to the reason of why these types of games were made to warrant a fake reality like that, and the fact that the population is going down because no one is either having kids or getting married.

As i am not japanese, take my information with a grain of salt; i'd like to hear what kchan has to say.
