Endless Paradigm

...for I now have broken the shackles of 56k's tyranny. Finally, at my disposal is a 5mbps connection.

Seriously, you people cannot comprehend how long I have ached for this new-found internet freedom. I got so sick of my dial-up connection around the beginning of the year, that I basically quit using the internet.

Also, I got a Buffalo WHR-54gs wireless router ($50 US) and flashed it with dd-wrt which dramatically improved its performance. The factory-installed firmware sucked.

I have been so unproductive the last two days that I've not even shaved and I'm considering calling in sick to work tomorrow just to stay home and play with my connection. I haven't even played Xenogears for the past two days and that's all I had been doing with my free time for the last week and a half or so.

I thought that I'd post this here seeing as how I've basically been a ghost.

Oh, and Zinga: my quick-edit works again. ;)

i have 12mbps but my crappy computer at home is slow anyways so i have to wait a bit more but its nice to be able to have a fast knx good luck with losing ur life for a few days :mdr:

I browse from my phone a lot and I don't mind the connection speed

you mean like wlan or gprs? that's still really a big difference with dialup. nowadays, using dialup to connect to the internet is... torture. you might as well stay off the internet. if i was put back on dialup i would stay in school all day and if they kicked me out because they closed i would grab some mcdonalds and go to a netcafe and sleep there and go to mcdonalds and school again

can't you just put a huge wifi antenna on ur roof and see what you pick up?
