Why, because marijuana was legalized in a certain state(s)? That wasn't a federal decision, it was on the ballot for Colorado, and apparently, the majority of the people in that state voted that it should be legal. How does one state's decision to legalize something (that isn't really harmful), represent America as a whole? Let's not rule out the fact that the law could get overturned, which would be a federal decision, but still wouldn't represent what the American people would want. Our government doesn't need the citizens' approval to go ahead and do something, by the way.
Out of all the things America has done, this is the one thing to make you lose faith in a country? Anything else you mention would be off-topic, so there's no point bringing that up in this thread.
