So,

I'm a dumbass, and I broke the fans in my new laptop (girlfriend's sister's old laptop; HP dv7-1245dx) by using compressed air on them while they were on (fans don't spin in two directions at once!), and now I need to replace them. HP's site for replacement parts listed the replacement fan thing at $45, so fudge that.

Do the wonderful people of EP know a place to get parts cheap? I'm not about to spend $45 for a fan (I don't even have $45!)
Bro if i had $45, id send it over and problem solved.

Really the only site i can name is pricespy.co.nz it has really cheap computers parts etc

However being a New Zealand site means you will be paying more than $45 just to get it over to america lol
Well if your in the USA you can go to RadioShack and look in there parts section for there micro fans, ect. Other then that sorry dude. :(

problem is, I don't know spoon about hardware, so I wouldn't know exactly what to look for. D:
what's the part number

should be on a sticker on the centre of the fan

or ring HP up again and ask for the part number for the fan + heatsink assembly
