Anyway's, I'll see if editing the ID3 info heps... And by the way, hre is a great freeware ID3 Tag editor (attached to post). Install it, the right click on musicfile, go to Properties>mP3 Info, and you can edit it right there. It's great, and I use it often.
If I figure out anymore on this issue, I'll post it here.
But yeah, your not alone V1, lots of people are experiening wierd stuff with 4.01 m33-2 and mp3 files...

As I expected, the MP3 files are corrupted. The PSP usually cuts it off if the stream gets corrupt somewhere, whilst most players on the PC will try to continue. For example, track #2 you gave me, it breaks at around 2:09 (there's probably a break earlier, but I was fast forwarding, so the PSP might've skipped some frames). Playing it on the PC, you can hear at "cut" at that point.
Re-encoding obviously fixes the issue, however the "cut" defect is obviously still there.
Some things I noticed:
- In SoundForge, it'll display the last ~minute of the song as blank; it'll also stop playing at around 3 minutes, and has trouble if you try to seek
- When I converted the audio (with Mplayer » LAME), the resulting file was around 1 minute shorter
