PSP Price Drop
08/04/2007 03:17 PM Posted by: beaner2k6 in PSP News
some kid from absolutegadget.com Wrote:[Image: psp-1000k.jpg]While wee are waiting for the PSP2 to come out, Sony, in a bid to compete with Nintendo's wildly successful DS and Gameboy handheld games consoles, is to cut the price of the PSP by $30 to $170.

It's the first time that the company has lowered the price of the console since its debut in March 2005. According to reports in USA Today, game developers and financial analysts have been urging Sony to cut prices for some time.

The price cut happens two months after Sony posted pretty bad losses of $443m, because of the costs of launching the PS3.

But the PSP will still cost more than the DS, which is available in some US stores for around £130. And the DS continues to outsell every other handheld in the country in February.

The company has also cut the price of the PSP Entertainment pack by 20 per cent to $200. It would be nice to see some cuts in the PSP in Europe but there is no word from Sony on this, sadly!
that sounds nice for sure psp sales should rise a bit :)

 A new xbox360 mini Keyboard
08/04/2007 02:12 PM Posted by: YoYoBallz in Tech News
Rumor: Confirmed via -www.xbox.com  Xbox says that you can find this in store around summer time.

Now you know how rumors are, you never know whether it's true but the only reason I'm posting this is because Microsoft had this pulled from gamespot.  now if the rumor was false then why would MS pull the pics??

Well if you ask me it sounds a bit fishy, especially that MS has Window live Messenger coming out soon it could make sense.

Well anyway here's the picture

Looks cool huh? Well all wee have to do now is hope that it's real.

A Wireless guitar hero controller...... wait what????

That right, A person by the name of john (?) has made a wireless guitar hero controller for the ps3.  Now he has not posted the instructions for this sweet mod yet but as soon as he does Ill be sure to post it..

Here's what HackADay had to say about it

HackaDay Wrote:[John] sent in his PS3 wireless guitar hero project. The concept seems popular today. Hopefully he'll write up some instructions - but it looks pretty straight forward - he embedded a normal PS3 controller inside the body of the guitar hero controller. For now you can gaze upon the high res version. Update: He passed along a couple more shots of the project. Update2: Here's the instructables on building your own.

Hey guys! Well, I'm back with another release of my guitar assisting application. Its only been one week, but I've had a little time to work on it, and now its version .5 BETA, this means more content and less bugs! Installations in the README so please READ IT! Now I've pretty much completed all my goals for the .5 series of this application, the next release will be a week or two off, unfortunately i couldn't implement the Guitar Pro player or the Metronome yet, but the extra scales and Flexible tuner will come in real handy.

Metronome is very close to completion and will be one of the headline features of .6 , Also USER implementation such as backing tracks and Tab reading will come in this version.

 3.30 OE delayed
08/04/2007 04:13 AM Posted by: ZiNgA BuRgA in PSP News
Quote:Wee had evoked, a few days ago, the possibility of a release of the 3.30OE quickly but wee didn't bargain on bad luck. A small conversation between Dark_Alex and MaGiXieN, this evening, taught us that it cannot currently work on its future 3.30OE because his PSP is quite simply broken.

Wee can already reassure you by announcing that the new PSP of Dark_Alex is already in a box and on the way but all this will thus delay the release of this famous Custom Firmware 3.30OE. But there is no need to hurry. Indeed, to date no game requires firmware 3.30…

Stay tuned....

 PRX Decrypter with 3.30 support
07/04/2007 06:06 PM Posted by: ZiNgA BuRgA in PSP News
jas0nuk Wrote:Hi all,
If anyone wants it, here is an updated PRX decrypter which supports 3.30 PRXes, whether they are signchecked or not, GZIPed, and even RLZed :)
Should be useful for OE modders when 3.30 OE is eventually released... ;)
Check readme.txt for details

Old versions:
1.2 - http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=49213
1.1/1.0 - http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=42349

edit: It's not even tested, all I did was add 3.30 decryption keys (all 5 sets of them xD) and re-compile it. A confirmation that it works would be appreciated.

Just as a note, most users probably won't have any use for this.  Usually the PSAR Dumper will work fine :P
