FFVII redux.
Yes, I know there is another thread on this very page.
Yes, I know there have probably been tons of these.
My problem is far more specific and I don't know if anybody has even played this far on the game, but I'm hoping somebody has.
Okay, so I recently got my wisdom teeth out, and I needed something to do while I was cracked out on three medications. So what did I do? Of course, I loaded Final Fantasy VII onto my PSP.
So I played through it, no problems aside from a graphical hiccup which would require a reset of the game.
But now, I've run into a problem. I am on disc 2, (26 hours into the game when I got there, have now put that up to 32 doing tons of sidequests while trying to figure out the problem.) and I can no longer further the story, because a cutscene freezes without fail on the same frame, every single time.
(Specifically, in the lost capitol, when Bugenhagen inserts the key to the ancients into a music box.)
For the bulk of the game, I played with 3.71 M33. In an attempt to fix the bug, I upgraded to 3.90 M33-3 (in which it fails to even begin loading the cutscene.) I am now running it with popsloader on 3.71 and it, once again, just freezes a few seconds in to the cutscene.
Any ideas?

RE: FFVII redux.
Make sure popsloader isn't corrupted. It should work fine. I play it on 3.90 M33-3 (sLIM) and use 3.71 kernel fine..

But its at a particular point in the game.
It may be something weird that only happens there.
Have you gotten past the point in the game that he is talking about?
On another note, try disabling any other plugins.

RE: FFVII redux.
I just tried your 3.71 files (thanks!)
...And they didn't work. :\ As far as I know, I don't have any other plugins at all.

Haha, thanks. Wow, you posted these literally seconds after i finally remembered how psardumper works and had it build those.
Okay, so I've got it running on the 3.52 pops and it still freezes there... Maybe I have a bad ISO or something??

Haha, the point of this is that the 32 hours I've wasted on this game weren't sitting in front of my computer screen.
