Catfish, its because you're using a hi-resolution monthly wallpaper

The only way to fix it is to blank out the shadows as Zinga recommended.

This problem also happens on 3.03 OE as well.

yes, 303 can use a jpg with 480 as 01-12, but in 310, it will mess up the icons =.=

You should be able to select .dat files when you're replacing resources.

The day after 3.10 oe can out I went looking into the 3.10 vsh main to see if any of the resorces had changed and I guess I looked right over the tv one. And I wonder what sony's doing with a tv resource ;)
Hmm, I think it's the Jap TV option when you have region set to Japan.

Umm, I knew it was a page resource, as invalid icon and text resources won't cause crashes.  Only page resources do.  Looking at the 3.10 topmenu_plugin.rco header, I managed to discover the nature of the page resource, and the fact that the 3.10 topmenu added an extra menu in 3.0x meant that it had to be one of the "list_" items.  So basically, looking for where the "video" "music" etc items were in the PRX, there was a "tv" item - adding this just seemed to make the RCO work on 3.10 :)

Lol.  Well, save that file as a .dat file and use it to replace the shadows. :P

People are getting bricks when they replace all the shadows with the blank.dat file.

:S  3.10 doesn't seem to like invalid icons at all...  I've uploaded a new blank.dat file in the first post.

Anyways, I've also resized the shadows down - use the "v2" of the topmenu_plugin.rco file on the first post.  The following shadows have been blanked out however:
  • UMD and Memstick shadow - these seem to require the image to be shifted, something which I can't be bothered doing at the moment.  If anyone else wants to do it, feel free.
  • Shadows in 3.10 not in 2.50 (ie RSS settings, RSS, Certificate Utility etc) - I've also blanked out the focus images of those, mainly because the "generic" images I'm using look absolutely horrible IMO
So now, the remaining issue is the Network icon - I'll have to look into that :S

Thanks |-Anubis-| for telling me this :P

Oh, and I've found yet another bug in the RCO Editor's Replace feature when using different sized images :(
