really bad brick?
two of my mates have told me that their psp's have got the exact same problem. their consoles will show no sign of life at all, not even the LED will come on.
I'm thinking that it's just a really bad brick but i want to ask your advice before i dive in with pandora's. please help me here.

By the way

my friends' psps aren't hacked

RE: really bad brick?
If not even the LED turns on, then its a hardware problem. Even if your PSP is completely Fudged up beyond all recognition bricked, the green LED will still come on for about 5 seconds.

RE: really bad brick?
Probably hardware issue. Open it up and check it out or exchange it.

RE: really bad brick?
use your power supply on his psp and take out his battery then try it, then try with your battery and no ac - if it fails to boot in both cases the system is done, that means at least a hardware replacement or soldering would be needed. just be sure to turn the wall socket on :P

Always remember - Google is your friend :)
