"Invalid Icon" in RCOedit - what does it mean?
F*cking HELP! I am so tired of getting this error message! I am using the latest version of RCOedit and I keep getting this message on all the damned icons I want to edit!
Anyone know why this is? Thanks VERY much for any help! :)

"Invalid Icon" just means that it can't recognize the icon data.
Dunno - mine works fine here:

Is it a clean rco that no one else has touched or are you editing an rco from a particular theme?
If you're getting "invalid icons" on certain bmps you're trying to edit in an rco, more than likely someone used RCO Editor v1.14d and replaced the bmps with a blank dat file in order to reduce the size of the rco.

^^^ im with rob. blank.dat gives the invalid icons, where as an 8x1 black bmp dummies the image just the same and doesn't show that message ;)

RE: "Invalid Icon" in RCOedit - what does it mean?
Ok. Hm this is odd. All I wanted to do was invert an image file in an rco, and this happens a lot. (Invalid file) I thought I clicked the proper image file, too. Idk. Thanks for the info, everyone. ^^
