I don't really like mainstream... Old school for me mostly. My favorite would have to be Big L

ice-t (not his music actually, just his stories of being an old school pimp and various movie appearances)

I like Akala at the moment. Everyone check him out, and the track Shakespeare (old). New album is great also.

i don't know any hip hop artist i like but i like the pumping of the fat beats lol

Big L is pretty tyte, personnaly, mine would be T.I.

Big L,Jigga, b.i.g, akala is awsome too as is b-real from cypress hill, there are many on my list for different reasons, guru (gangstarr) talib kweli, mos def, KRS one,nas,tash from the 'liks the list goes on and on shame that hip hop on the whole seems to get worse year after year
