This is the deal - Help your dear Shaft friend :O
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, well...

I am in a Video Making And Resources Management course in my local university.
The idea is to make videos with cool effects that could be close considered
to amateur movies

Well I own a sony camcorder that records into a dvd, but I don't have the
software for it. I have a psp and likes to watch videos on it, so I use Xvid4PSP for the task of converting videos into it.

Well I figured out a while ago that I could rip stuff from recorded dvds
using XviD4PSP. I owned a XP Media Center 2005 Laptop. About 2 months
ago it screwed up so I got a pc running Vista Home Premium.

What's the deal? XviD4PSP (that wonderful video tool) won't work.
Well so far I have disabled the "User Account Control" and changed the
Temp and Output folders (Temp2 & Documents instead of C:/Temp & Desktop) This have helped me to go further in the program (before it
stopped working when opening any file, now it goes further but still stops working)

I have this special video I recorded on the camcorder and my task is to edit
it using simply windows movie maker without using any other special effects or video editing software.

I have to convert that video into an AVI or MPG format for making it WindowsMovieMaker compatible

I have been trying to get help since last night (every help is appreciated)
But it seems that the only thing that keeps me from going is that "I have to disable certain groove component..."

Well this Vista is running with Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise and another student thing...

I tried using control panel to remove groove but couldnt find it

So any ANY any help could be VASTLY and GREATLY appreciated
its 8:28 am here and I am supposed to present the video I recorded on thursday today at 1:00 pm at university.

Thanks for those gentle enough for reading this or giving me any tip on how to COMPLETELY remove groove from my vista computer :O

Results from ℋiЬЬyℬot™ - "better than Google"
Remove Groove from Vista

Not sure if this works but maybe worth the try
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

If Office 2007 is installed in the default directory, do this.

1. Press winkey+r (run command).
2. Paste this in the location bar (without quotes).
"regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Office12\GrooveShellExtensions.dll" /u"
3. Done.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

If Office 2007 is installed in another directory, paste this into the
location bar instead.

"regsvr32 "[INSTALLATION DIRECTORY]\Office12\GrooveShellExtensions.dll" /u"
