3.40OE Wont boot into recovery
I installed 3.40OE-A on my friends PSP yesterday and it all works, but I wanted to do some configuration today and it won't boot into pecovery, if I hold R it just reads the memory stick for a second and stops. Should I reflash, or does anyone have a good eboot for recovery so i can launch it from games?

Edit: I can't reflash it. The flasher won't load (this game could not be started)

RE: 3.40OE Wont boot into recovery
i would just reflash because if it isn't booting into recovery doesn't that mean that some of the files are either missing or corrupted?
so i think it would be a good idea to reflash because if you semibrick then your screwed..

RE: 3.40OE Wont boot into recovery
It won't load any homebrew or games now. If i want to reflash, I wonder how... I thenk I need to get an eboot of some sort to run that enables me to get into recovery or something but it seems right now this is going to be a big pain, if no homebrew loads and i can't upgrade to 3.50 official either then theres no way out is there...

take out your battery and just leave your psp for a while, then put it back in, see if recovery loads or format flash1 with flash 1 formatter, then see if recovery works and reflash.

RE: 3.40OE Wont boot into recovery
i agree your best bet is get a copy of someones flash files and flash the whole lot to your psp. in saying that no homebrew will work so unless you can run something your fudged.
:/

*EDIT* i had a brain wave (it hurts). lol anyway if you can run umd games then get lumines - you can use it to downgrade to another firmware where you can then reinstall 3.40 oe.

Always remember - Google is your friend :)

RE: 3.40OE Wont boot into recovery
Interestingly, this does actually sound like it got upgraded to official firmware.  What does it say in the System Information?

Could also be something terribly screwed with the 1.50 subset.
