Bye PSP, hello $$
Tom will be the last day.. So it's already a close deal and I gained $119.14.
My budget is $229.12. What gadget should I buy if I need some music, games, browsing and some texting even though texting is just an optional to me. Also portable (stupid me )

If you're so keen on games and need to text people I guess there's only one answer - Xperia Play. Minuses: Smartphone and PS1 games and too expensive for that budget.

The PSP can play almost half the emulatorz out there I miss playing ff7...
A good replacement would be the xperia play or any android phone with a slide out keyboard. When you download an emulator or current game for android, it will sometimes give you the option to assign special buttons to the game.
The best keyboard phone I know perfect for gaming is the Droid 3. It has a 4.0" screen and a giant keyboard. Emulators that might require allot of buttons won't be a problem here and with a great nvidia dual core processor and awesome manly look to match the damn phone puts my EVO 4G to shame.

Acer Liquid Metal was like AU$129 here. Doesn't have a keyboard though.
Although for serious gaming, you'd have to get either a console or the Xperia Play. If you just want basic ones, then an Android phone should be great.
I'm presuming you don't need to text that much, in which case, a keyboard probably isn't that important.
I saw an LG Optimus 2X for under AU$300 today - fair bit over your budget, but it's pretty much a high end phone (dual core CPU (more powerful than iPhone 4), 1080p video support with HDMI out, 8MP+1.3MP cameras etc).
