I THINK I FOUND IT
I think I've talked a lot about trying to find a way so that my mind can operate at optimum efficiency and I think I've found it (well, for the time being).

It's going to be obvious, but...it's sleep.

and not just any sleep, but sleep that is done IN THE DARK, which means you don't sleep past morning or what not. For me, I think what was happening was that I wouldn't enter REM sleep (deep sleep) because of the light of the sun coming through my window in the morning. Whilst I was asleep, my body would never enter the most important part of the sleep cycle because of the outside influence and thus, I would feel like spoon even though I had a nice 8 hours of sleep.

It's an amazing thing, people usually don't notice they are "acting dumber" than they usually are because it's not easy to quantify something that you aren't even seeing. For me, I discerned this from the fact that

-My head wasn't spinning when I'd do mathmatical theory/proofs/problems.
-I could actually do the problem without much thought.

All in all, I feel great today and I was able to get through a lot. While all this is PURE speculation, I will report back to you guys about my experiences (that is if you care :( ).

You guys should try it sometime if you find that you're not doing good in school or your head is just spinning throughout most of the day.



inb4 tetris you should read articles on this, I did and not many of them pointed me in the right direction for the days where I felt "dumber".

You'd be surprised at how many things can be either fixed or just helped by having a good night's sleep.









In Skyrim: Sleeping in a bed, wakes you up with a rested status that gives you a 10% boost in skill progression for 8 hours

I love sleeping because all my crazy ideas that I get during the day come to life. Last night I was on a pirate ship with meany womenz eating meat

If I can't sleep I hold a small amount of whiskey in my mouth.  I usually have no problemz obtaining sleep, once my face goes numb.

PS:faping into total exhaustionz of the entire body helps too.

How peculiar.

While a full 8-9 hours of sleep does wonders for my constitution, I've found that I actually get considerably sharper with 5 or less hours in me... short term. It wears off, and I suffer later on.

Full sleep cycle, I struggle to get out of bed, and nothing short of a full-on panic-run to a bus will wake me up for morning classes. (This happens a lot because of point a, struggling to get out of bed)
Short-changed, I roll out of bed without so much as a blink, and I'm comfortably at the bus. Classes, I just blow through stuff like it's all second nature to me.

That said, my sleep cycle's about four to five hours out from where it should be; I start sleeping at 3-4am, and wake up 11am-12pm, and keeping such a brutal cycle of sleep as 3-6:45am practically killed me one time.

Slept 6 hours last night. Feel great today.

Feel poo poo if I oversleep (I'd say for me, 8 hours is too much) and brain does not perform well after a long night (3-4 hours).
