Recommended firmware for PSP 1000?
Opinions are open.
Rules:
1. No flaming.
2. Provide new information, please.
3. Unbiased opinions make people happy. :D
Also, a side question. Is 5.50 Gen able to play newer games?
Another: Is it true that ME might be a better option for the 1000, because it has less RAM?

RE: Recommended firmware for PSP 1000?
You made me lol. xD Which ME version though? Not all of them are the best, I'd expect. So, 6.39 ME-9.2?
I'd like to see some other people's opinions.
I saw on another forums people saying that ME caused some permanent problems with their PSPs at one point, like being unable to play ISO/CSOs. I don't want to rush into this. Is there any viable proof? Not a n00b at things like this, because I am careful at things like this. To date, I've never bricked a console, and I am not about to do so. <<< Blah dee blah blah blah
Edit: Screw it! I just chose 6.60 ME 1.4. It actually had a lot of good features. I see why you said ME now. Thanks!

In my opinion 6.39 ME 9.5 has surpassed 5.00 m33 by a mile.
It has the best Plugin & Game compatibility, Not to mention all the awesome features built in, It's also the most stable custom firmware I have ever seen on the PSP.

Yeah, I wouldn't know, I don't keep up with the psp scene anymore, plus I only use my psp for music and videos and DMP lol.
