[Tutorial] Making the Network icon Reboot/Shutdown
Ok, so for those of you making themes here is this tutorial for you. Yay

Let's begin. Madwin

Tools:
1. Reboot/Shutdown Plugin
2. PSP capable of flashing.

Ok, now that wee got our tools, do the following.

Go into Recovery Menu/Mode and toggle flash0 and connect your
PSP to the PC via a USB cable.

So once your PC reads your PSP you will get something like this:

Click the option that's highlighted.
You will get something similar to this:

Ok, now that wee got the PSP connected, let's go to the installer.
The icon of it should be this:

If you DO get this screen, just click RUN.

Next, you will get this:

otice where it says, Destination Folder it has the letter X://
Change X to where your PSP is at.
For example, mine is K. So I'll change it to K:

Now, press INSTALL.

It shouldn't take long.

When it's done, just disconnect your PSP from the PC.
And restart your PSP.

Go, to the Network Update icon and press X to restart or R+X to shutdown.

Spoiler for How to Change the Network Update text:
So once you got the above tutorial
done, you will have to do this in order to make the Online Update say: Reboot..etc

You will need:
1. 5.50 topmenu_plugin.rco
2. RCO Editor

Ok, so once you downloaded those 2,
open RCO Editor:

Click on, Open RCO and open the topmenu_plugin.rco:

Click, OPEN.

You will get this:

Once you get it open click on the Text Data tab:

Then, scroll down until you find this:

OK, here is where wee change the text.
If you look where it say's Network Update:

Click on it.
Then type whatever you want. (ex Reboot/Hold R and Shutdown) Whatever.

Once your satisfied with your text, simply click, Change:

And that's it.
Look for the .rco you modified and flash it to flash0:/vsh/resource Specky

RE: [Tutorial] Making the Network icon Reboot/Shutdown
I hate to shoot you down but this isn't a proper tutorial. All this is is a self extracting archive made with WinRAR that extracts a PRX to your PSP. It's the same thing as a drag and drop method. It'd be better if you wrote this explaining how to hex edit the PRX to do the desired function.

Could this work without flashing? I'm sure I've used a converted theme for 6.35Pro that had the Shutdown/Reboot feature in it and actually working. Maybe you could change it to show how wee could do that, but it probably already exists :/, else this is only useful for those with pandorable PSP's?

If you have a custom theme installed, you could extract it
and replace the update_plugin.prx with this one, and them make it back to a ctf.

Sorry if there was any misunderstanding but I meant to do with this Tutorial and how it would only be good for flashable PSP's :3

Yes that would work, but the theme I had had it set to replace the "online Manual" icon

RE: [Tutorial] Making the Network icon Reboot/Shutdown
Hi, I'm new on this forum.
Today I tried this method, but the only result I got was the brick of my psp: every time I try to turn it hangs during loading. How can I fix it?
My PSP is a 3004 with 6.35 PRO B3.
PS. Sorry for my English, I'm Italian.

Greetings, Comic.

Wait...You flashed this to your PSP 3000???! If so...why? the 2nd requirement was a FLASHABLE psp, the 3000's flash shouldn't be modified in anyway unless proven safe! As a last attempt you could try taking the memory card out and see if it'll boot, but if it's cold booting, then I'm afraid it's dead

Also JunKie, I'd change your topic so it specifically states PSP 1000 and early 2000 models only!!

In that sense cold boot?
However, the process of rebooting I was able to do so, but the brick occurred when I tried to change the text.

Edit. It's not a brick, but a semi-brick.

Umm....isn't that just useless on unhackies? You also can do that on the VSH menu.
