RE: Internet without....
i wouldnt even consider leeching off of my neighbors wireless connection without illegal files, its common sense that the internet is used for illegal files

RE: Internet without....
ive got a '6mpbs' line, which goes from 5-8mbps depending on traffic around here [how many people that are on the same stretch of cable are on at once, etc]

even if i didnt get some shady material id still use the connection speed since i work from home, and play alot of games that need the higher repsonse time.

and im pretty sure i don't have a traffic cap, im sitting at almost 213GB since monday and my net is still working.

It's shown three times a week (one on ABC2).
Wednesday @ 8:30pm
Friday @ 11:00pm
Sunday @ 9:30pm on ABC2

It's actually the only TV show I still watch, although half of it is kinda stupid, I still find it amusing :P

O_o, though is it entirely legal?  I'll exclude hershey kisses, since it's usually not allowed from work/school internet, for example.  Hard to say, lolz.

For me, I'd say a fast connection, and probably about 10-20GB/month.  I somehow use up 1GB/month just by browsing the internet with images/flash etc disabled... Erk

What made me wonder is that there has been debate in Australian Parliament about a high-speed fibre-optic broadband infrastructure for residential use.  Seriously, I think most people won't need that kind of speed if they only perform legal activities online.  Unless you like to download Linux distros ever day...
Interesting issue IMO.

i forgot to say one thing about that, i have a 51cm Standard TV in my room (its basically the only tv in my house that i watch) which is also hooked up to my PS2. because when wee built this house (through a company, wee didn't physically build it ourselves :P) dad chose to only have wall connecters to the Roof's Antenna in 3 rooms: The living room (which is for our main tv), other living sort of room (which is for our stereo system for the radio), and our Rec room which has another small tv. so none of the bedrooms have a connection to the roof. back then i was 7 and dad thought i would never have a tv in my room, boy he was wrong so now i have to use an antenna that sits on my tv. it gets: Ten, Seven, Nine, SBS, Channel 31 (melbourne station) good, but i have to move around the antenna to get ABC, and because i don't want to constantly move my antenna around so i don't stuff up the other good channels, i can't watch ABC.
so that's why i download it :P

RE: Internet without....
Oh, crappy reception - makes sense.
Lol, in addition to a long-donkey ethernet cable, get a long-donkey extension to hook it up to the roof connector :P

Actually, what I did for my TV tuner (cause Digital requires REALLY good reception, generally), is I got two large sheets of alfoil, and hooked the antenna up to that - improves the signal a bit - enough to allow me to watch digital :P  Antenna looks "cool" too, as there's two large sheets of alfoil clinging onto it ;)
