It crashed for me too when I first tried it, then I read that you need the 6.20 Eboot in ms0 (or ef0):/PSP/GAME/UPDATE. I put one in there, and it worked like a charm.

Obligatory PSP Info: 2001 Slim TA088v3 5.03 » 6.10 » 6.20 » 6.35 » 6.35 PRO » 6.20 TN-C » 5.03 prome-3 » 6.35 PRO-B

Davee Wrote:Sony, being as sneaky as they are decided to do a rather interesting move. As researched by Coyotebean, Sony started enforcing using a public key method of verifying KIRK data and removing the ability to load the old types of data. As they did this, firmware 6.30+ cannot decrypt the updater and the PRX inside and therefore cannot use the index.dat spoofing to downgrade.

I was wondering if I was on 6.20 and did a nand dump with nand manager, and then updated to 6.35 if it would be possible to restore my 6.20 nand with nand manager once again ?

Nand Manager does not need to decrypt an updater, so you would think that SONY's new protection would not apply to that app being able to downgrade.  Am I right ?    Hmmm

EDIT:  OK, I just tried it on my PSP Go! (risky - I know) and it did indeed work.
I was on 6.35 (pro) launched Nand Manager, and restored my 6.20 ofw nand dump.   Yay

Works great on my PSPgo (5g model).

Successfully downgraded my PSPgo with 6.35 Pro-B3 to OFW 6.20 and installed 6.20 PRO-Before Permanent.
