Don't worry, the facepalm you're about to give me for what I'm about to say is understandable.

Now you may ask, what am i going to say to make you facepalm?

Now, if you're done facepalming and still want to read more on WHY i want to do this, then please.

I got a psp slim not too long ago for 50$, believe me, it was a great deal. Now after hearing about how far hbl went and the fact the psp go now has a kernel hack i can only jump up and down in excitement. I got a psp slim namely for the reason of wanting to play project diva 2nd, which i still play constantly. Obviously such a thing would've been impossible on a psp go because you simply can't just port a game or such.

"But wait!" you may ask, "didn't you already have a psp go!?!?!" The answer is yes, i did, but this was the most crummiest psp go you could get your hands on because it belonged to a freaking 7 year old that treated it like poo poo. The screen was scratched and there were numerous bumps and dents all around it, in the end i got around to swapping it for a 360 which i sold for 180$. Funny thing is i bought the psp go for 125$

I bummed out that my psp go looked like poo poo but the whole fact of it not having any chance it sight of getting hacked made me sell it. After that, i was able to get my hands on a psp slim by chance for 50$

But obviously, good things don't come cheap; the psp slim had no charger and a really, REALLY scratched screen. Alas, accepting my situation i finally decided to use it.

I've just about HAD IT with buying used stuff and getting something that looks like poo poo, i want my next psp to be in pristine condition. This is the reason I'm selling my slim now for 140$ + a 16 GB mem card (which is really just two 8GB microsd's that costed 40$ total).

Of course, wee still don't know when the psp go is going to have the hack released, but as long as there is a breath of news that their is a hack formulating, it's only natural to hope.

I liked the psp go, i just hated mines condition.

What's funny is that i make money whenever i do this; so at times i never feel any sharp repercussions for my actions.

And if your last pspGo was in crappy condition and that was the reason for selling it i don't blame you. Im a condition freak myself and owning a psp in poor condition just puts me off using it.

If your happy sacrificing project diva or whatever then id say get a go.

Otherwise id wait and see how much the Half Byte Loader continues to improve by and how much total_noobs 6.20 firmware increases. Its only a matter of time be for they get a working iso loader or iso support. Total_noob seems to be pretty close, so once that happens, go for it.

it'll happen soon, and i want to get a psp go for 120$ while everyone still believes it's "unhackable"

I'm really good at checking market reactions :P

tl;dr?

I had a PSP Go! that I sold too, because I didn't think there would be a kernel mode exploit ever released for it..    :/

I would however take into consideration that a kMode exploit does not necessarily mean that POPS will be ported to it.   So you would lose the ability to play PS1 games on your new PSP.   (Unless of course someone ports and releases it.)
