Bought a Black Wii
I finally bought a new Wii (had to sell my other wii a while ago)   Yay

I bought one of the black Wii systems.   It came with 4.2U system menu.  
That was great news, because I was able to hack it with bannerbomb.  If it was a 4.3, I would have had to use a disc based exploit like smashstack.

All black Wii systems come with a D2-3 drive, which means it is impossible for it to read burnt discs.  But that is no big deal.  I can run anything I need from my SDHC card, or from my USB HDD.  ;)

I found the Wii used at gamestop for only $119 USD   :)
It looks like who ever owned it before must have almost never used it.   :D

Now that I have a Wii again, I can continue some of the projects I had in the works for it.  
I will also continue to post Wii news here in our forums now.    Madwin

did not bother much with my black wii, just followed a guide to hack it (http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-hack-a-Nintendo-Wii) , and played some nes/snes emulators.
anyway, nice price for that, got mine 170$ new. but considering the life span of nintendo products, getting it used is no issue.
