heh. even if the screen i get has a somewhat low DPI count i won't mind. as long as it can at least go higher than 1294x1024 (or something)

I guess. But if it improves the overall visual feel, then it'd be a really good investment. However, I think only artists (or similar) would actually benefit from this. Can't say about others but here at work, the artists are using 300dpi... so maybe even they wouldn't really require it.

if you have money why not! this is part of marketing strategy they intend people to crave for new technology with few updates, in contrary if you don't have money to spent then it's time to think a lot if will benefit you or not!

More screen estate is an auto-sell for me so long as it isn't a retarded price.

While that disadvantage is obvious, if it is DPI ~ well, good eyesight should compensate shouldn't it?

So my answer is, why the hell not?
