I've actually had my fingers bleed after playing. I had to wrap tape around my fingers when I wanted to play for a few days after.

It was practicing for a concert in school. So playing for hours and hours every day for about a week. On the plus side the tape made my fingers quite slidy which made playing quite a bit easier.

Not really, its more like a work out.. initially it hurts like hell, but you get used to it.
