Old Question....

Ok, so I decided to create theme for 5.50

The problem is I'm using a tut for creating 5.00 m33 themes...

The question is... Can I follow every step from this tut for 5.50 gen?
And only changing the version of the programs that are listed to newer ones that are 5.50 capable (if they aren't already) and just rip everything from my flash0 and decompress them and get crackin' or... am I missing anything?

Bellow is just a simple idea...nothing much as I don't know the limits yet and don't want to be caught up in a bunch a bull when I figure out I stuck in way to much detail or something and just blew all that time away...  Though I kinda like it...





Also when I atempt to make my first theme I'll try and use rcomage. There are 3 other pics of asuka and I'm hoping to switch inbetween them like the k-on beta theme and make the nerv logo spin in a 3d fashion like the chars in one of the bakemonogatari themes...  Of course I'll try my best to figure out most of this poo poo myself but I just wanted to make sure...

it should be fine if you use the ctf tool to convert your theme to 5.50 a this will change all the prx/rco to the right format

ctf toll fudges up your internet? i wouldnt know im not really a theme i just think i know stuff i remember when i had a fiddle around with it it had option to convert between firmwares

ok well first I'll get everything ready (icons and what not...) then implement all this poo poo and use it to make my theme for 5.50 anyways >.>

and if I run into any problems I'll P.M. somebody or post it here...

I did some screwing around and placed the files into the stuff and somehow i came up with my own way of doing this... dunno how... anyways I guess the only thing I NEED to know is how to make my images have a smaller filesize


used photoshop and tried saved as

png-24 increased the size

png-8 = fail  first off, white poo poo around the pic and second off the lines behind her... arent part of the wallpaper >.>

I tried copy pasting but that didn't work obviously T.T

the pic with white bits on it was saved as png 8 and is completely unusable as it made random color lines behind it... the black part is the wallpaper...

Right now I have a perfectly cropped ver of her which you can find bellow the first pic...


I just want to save it as the same kind of bmp as the one of azunya i just don't know how many bits it is...

I tried 32bits but that didn't work so am going to try 24 and and 16 latter....
