no, try out the one on PSP. i loved it. although it's much simpler than For answers for PS3.

it's pretty simple
dash, weapon 1, weapon 2. change weapon, sub weapon 1,2. etc etc.
the thing that make it different from other mecha games is extreme customisation. not only appearance, performance as well. you can make anything basically. an extremely slow tank, with a great booster (dash) for evasive movement. and tons of lasers, or a Knightmare based. with great movement and SMGs + blades.

my favorite have always been a hover machine with missiles rain. + radar jam. epicness

[off topic] Maybe this just shows that I'm getting addicted to DotA, but words like Tank remind me of Tanking units, then ganks and carry heroes and farming and inventory items... -.-[/off topic]

I am looking forward to this game, but will wait for reviews.
