How hot is too hot?
How hot is too hot for my Laptop GPU to be at? While playing DOD:S it caps at about 90°C, which I know is really hot, but I don't know if it's too hot for the GPU handle.

It's a nVidia GeForce 7150M if that matters at all.

I'm gay.

Mine went to 99 degrees (that's the highest my graph would show), and all it did was shut off. But that's just me.

My Daleks, just understand this; if you choose death and destruction, then death and destruction will choose you.

Yeah, mine went up to 99°, and it warned me, so I shut it down.

Pro Tip: Stop looking at porn.

My laptop experience is pretty limited since my laptop went and crashed on me. Can't really help there.

Mmm... hawt...

Speaking of which, my indomitable laptop has gotten to radiant heats bad enough to melt chocolate... literally. I placed a bar of chocolate next to my fan, had to do something, when I got back, my bar was a shapeless metallic bag of fluid.

Other notable events include burning my hand to the first degree on the underside.

Point is, I've done all that, and my laptop has never let me down, even when pushing the limits with Portal on max specs for chocolates and giggles. The only thing you have to fear is getting a little burnt.

(which, in retrospect, I suppose is quite bad, but that's an opinional difference.)

"Books! I've read several on the subject!"

my old laptop would ruin an ice cold can of coke in less than 5 minutes when I woudl play battlefield 2 and the can was on my desk 6-8 inches away from the left side of the computer!

That's a bit much for DoD:S... its a pretty old game now.

Try vacuuming the ventilation bits... improve air circulation.

My netbook CPU once hit 110C - had left a game running and forgot about it for a few hours.
Seriously surprised for an Atom CPU.
