Problem with analog stick
Guys, for the last 4 months or so, the analog stick of my PSP has been moving downside by itself. Like, when I'm playing Resistance, the character keeps moving backwards. When I'm playing WWE Smackdown vs Raw, the character keeps taunting. Of course, it's annoying me.
I've heard that if you keep moving the stick in circles when you're in the System Information screen in the XMB, it gets calibrated. But it doesn't work.
Is there any homebrew app that can help me calibrate my analog stick?
PSP Fat with TA-086 mobo, 5.50 GEN-B, by the way.
Thanks in advance. xD

RE: Problem with analog stick
Mine occasionally does it.
Like if I'm in a ROM list, it will just scroll down by itself at first.
I usually just push the analog in the direction it's scrolling, and it will stop.
Also, it may be worth noting - to make sure the analog stick is not being pushed in any direction when booting the PSP, or any Games, as this could possibly cause a mis-calibration.
If you are still having problems, you could try a plugin called JoySence.
I can't remember - but I believe that it allows you to set custom calibration for the analog stick. You can find it here:

RE: Problem with analog stick
Just to note, it also does this in the internet browser.
I'll try to use this plugin, but are you sure it works on my fw?
Oops... out of luck. 1.50 kernel only :(
edit: Hell Yeah!!! It worked!!! Thanks!!!

RE: Problem with analog stick
It means the Analog Stick is wearing out. You can use the above plugin to recalibrate it but its a kind of bodge job. It works by compensating against the incorrect-constant-downward-force-thing, meaning you lose some sensitivity in that direction. The only way to fix it properly is to replace the sensor. On a fat this is a piece of piss to do (no idea about the 2000 and 3000). A new sensor shouldn't cost a huge amount...

RE: Problem with analog stick
I had the same problem before. I just ordered on ebay. 3 new ones just for extras. just replace it and you will have no problem. there are lots of tutorial to replacing one. and it's pretty easy. the cost was less than 3bucks each.
