PS3 rendering issues.
Well first I had that screen gets all messed up (I searched on and I think it's a heat issue for the PS3 it's self) and now I'm getting polygon rendering problems.
Well I was playing Sonic Unleashed (again) while playing Shamar Night I noticed that a wall was completely invisible unless I approached near it. And in the first two parts Eggman land the background and some far away objects don't render properly unless I get closer to them.
I swore it wasn't like that first.
Now I don't really think it's the CD's fault it's happening and I have a few reasons why.

And my other reason is only an assumption, but I don't find it logical that a CD can damaged to display graphics like that.
I tried it with MGS:4 but I couldn't really notice it but I thought I saw a few hints of it happening. The problem is I don't really have that many 3d exploring environment games to test this on though.
Lastly I have installed the SU update but I deleted it because it made the loading screen freeze sometimes.
An interesting note for those who don't know, PS3 can only render half the amount of polygons a 360 can.

but the polygons look better on the ps3 than it does on the 360 :P
sounds like a heat problem to me. :( what resolution are you set to run at 480/720/1080?

RE: PS3 rendering issues.
yeah, kinda annoying cause I've had mine since launch and never had any problems until now.. just seemed to happen all of a sudden.
don't think there's any fix for it other than sending it in to sony..and my warranty has expired now too :(
