.mvk support is nice, but meh. support downscaling of bigger videos, and I'll use it.

If I'm going to convert my videos, I'll just use the built-in player.

I'm gay.

Unfortunately the Profile/Level/Resolution combination might be a bit restricting.  Most animes, for example, are encoded in the High profile and don't conform to PSP accepted resolutions.  Ref frames may be another stumbling block.  This is really a limitation of the PSP however, not this application.

But I've been having issues with longer length MP4s on earlier versions, see if this handles MKV better.  Thanks for the update!

Gave it a shot - for some reason, fastforwarding/rewinding in my MP4s has gotten worse than the previous version.  MKVs are similar but don't have the lag issue that MP4s have.  Many advanced features of MKV isn't supported, but then, it's a complex format so this is expected (the XMB itself doesn't support a number of MP4 features so meh really).  But otherwise, I'd probably prefer using .pmp to .mkv as .pmp doesn't have rewind/ff issues, only if I didn't have issues trying to mux PMPs >_>

comparing to avc, thus compression of mkv is lesser than mp4-avc and still the quality do not affected by it? ive been compressing most of my videos in mp4-avc format

AVC is the video stream format.  MP4/PMP/MKV is the container format.  The video stream determines the quality/size, the container has absolutely no effect on quality and a very minimal effect on size, and since all three use the same video stream format, you won't get any quality difference (or any noticeable size difference) by switching between them.
So if there's no difference in quality or size, it begs the question, is there really any point?
