Help with Decryption
:hi:Hello everyone...

I am working on a kinda Homebrew that uses a part of a Sony APP, in truth, i have to use the User Settings files...
The problem is that those files uses a "new" format, VSD (not the visio one), and are all encrypted...
I need help decrypting it, in order to keep working, find the chars, etc...

The problem is that i don't know anything about decryption, a friend of mine, told me that this place is my best chance, that you are great with PSP Files decryption, then i came here to ask for help :)
And yes i will give credit for all of you guys Hiding_something

Ahn, i almost forgot, the files can be found here:

RE: Help with Decryption
Not too sure if this is the best place actually.  The only really sure way to figure out how to decrypt something is to disassemble the application/routine which performs the decryption.  Otherwise I wouldn't have a clue what it could be.  Only similarity between the files is that the range 0x20-0x30 is just nulls.
Without disassembling, you could look at common encryption routines on the PSP and take guesses.
I think a more PSP programming/development focused forum like ps2dev might be more helpful, but due to the time consuming nature of disassembling, I can't say you're likely to get much of a response.

Hope that helps.
