Ah.. the mediocrity of life
Bah.

Every morning it has to be the same routine. Wake up, do the bathroom stuff, have tea, browse through the newspapers. Everyday starts the same. Nothing is different. You may wake up on the wrong side of the bed, but that won't happen with me as I have only one side, the other side being pinned against the wall.
You may be woken up by force, by love or simply on your own at any given time. But that won't happen with me as no one can wake me up before I wake up on my own. I have slept through earthquakes and what not, and it hasn't as much as registered in my sleep. Once I sleep, that's that.

Wee live a mediocre life. Change frightens us. Routine soothes us. Wee complain how predictable life is, but wee don't want that to change. Routine is good. Change is bad. Change makes you have to change your routine. Routine is good. If you miss your train/bus to work, it upsets you. That miss changed your routine. Routine around which you had modified your life style. 9 AM reach office. 6 PM leave office. 7PM, alternate days, hit the gym. 8 PM pick a pre-decided random person at pre-decided random place go to another pre-decided random place. something like that. Routine. Plan. Change is bad. Because of that miss, you'll be late for work. Your boss will ask you why. That will change your state of mind. You will have to put in more hours today to make up for your delay. You won't be able to stick to your routine. That will further change your state of mind. Change is bad. Routine is good.

Every once in a while, someone always says: "Wee're so predictable. Wee're just following that same damn routine! Lets do something different!!" Change.
"Like what?" someone will ask.
"Lets...." Change has been planned. New Routine.

Change is bad. Routine is good. Plan is a routine.

Wee are adaptable by nature. Accepting. Its too much of a hassle to deny. To not accept. Wee accept that wee must work 9 hours a day 5-6 days a week to earn x amount of money. That seems logical. Nothing flawed there. Money is everything. A company's tag is "Its All About Money, Honey". That too seems logical. But then what is illogical? Probably the fact that some people will work 9 hours, 6 days for 317 days, give and take a few here and there, for 30-40 odd years and yet only have enough money to support their family, frugally and ensure that their kids can at least go to college. On the other hand, some 25 year old starts a business, works 15 hours, 6 days for 5 years and then can just sit back while the guy above can work 9 hours, 6 days for 317 days, give and take a few here and there, for 30-40 odd years, and make him rich. Some people can't even manage to work. they beg. 1 buck, 2 bucks..

Its all about money, honey... seems logical enough.

Yet, not. Life is more than money I'm sure. Nature doesn't charge us gold to see the Savanna or the Grand Canyon, or the Great Coral Reef. Wee charge. 1 buck, 100 bucks... 1000 bucks. I havent seen any of the above. Its expensive. I have seen some of the natural beauty of my country. Its not that expensive, but still cost money.
Its all about money, honey...

I guess..

Wee have material demands. Marks and grades in school, that new toy or dress. the brand new gaming console or unrealistically expensive cosmetic. Wee want food from lavish places. And big cars. Wee want loads of people to have sex with and no commitments. All's fair I guess... wee are greedy. What's wrong with that? Why shold wee not want "creature" comforts. Sex is good, commitments are restraining. Freedom is awesome. Consoles, cosmetics, clothes that are hardly clothes (no, not intending micro-whatever), drugs, booze... all were invented for our pleasure. Pleasure which wee all want to obtain by following a routine. Wee follow a predetermined wish-list as well. Nothing different there. Different wish is change. Life is pleasure. Pleasure is obtained by following a routine. Routine is good. Change is bad.

Change. Routine. Pleasure.

Life is simple. simple is easy to understand. Complexity requires thought. Thought is deviant from acceptance. Acceptance is planned. Plan is a routine. Routine is pleasure. Change is not routine. Change is not pleasure. Change is bad.

Seems logical enough....

RE: Ah.. the mediocrity of life
Well written.

But I'll never go into a "never-live-much-in-my-life" routine, fudge that, I'd be better off dead.

Change is good. Change allows our brains to function abnormally ~ extra-ordinary particulation allows us to focus on a goal and try to achieve it.

Change, becoming an option less and less viable by the biggest nations of the world. It's peoples being hyper-insulated into the greedy pleasures of life. Believing that there is nothing better to eat your favorite foods and watch TV all day - living a false reality where all pleasures are well and truly the only options they have because of the mindset the person has achieved.

Why?

This is simply because people has given up believing in themselves.

Humanity will grind itself to the bitter edge of existence until ultimately it will fall.

This is a chain and cycle that cannot be avoided - only accepted and embraced.

You must be open-minded, ready for change, survival and true belief for what the future may or may not hold for one person depends on their very belief in themselves.

Change is good ~ it is proof that human kind can choose what they can do ~ so hold onto that possibility for as long as possible knowing that you're better than the rest who haven fallen.

Grieve not for the living nor the dead.

Simple Survival.
