help firmware 3.40oe-a problem now in 3.03oe-c
i done the update from fw v3.03oe-c to v3.40oe-a with no problems. but as soon as i checked the "configure menu" in the "recovery menu", the screen just goes blank (light blue screen. not the dark blue screen of death) and the psp switches off by it's self after say 20 sec's. just like if the psp has bricked itself. but when you switch it back on, everything seems ok. so i used the recovery "eboot" to go back to fw v1.50. then done a update to back to v3.03oe-c. so the psp was back to what it was before the v3.40oe-a update. and again, the "configure menu" in the "recovery menu" is still missing and the psp freezes again.
any suggestions on how to fix this bug???
i heard that the new 3.40 has a few bugs. but what i didn't realise that it would affect the psp if you downgraded to an earlier cfw.

try deleting the se.config file from the flash1
maybe that will help.
Use a homebrew program like PSPfiler

im a noob when it comes to the psp's flash mem. so i don't want to go messing around with the flash, just in case i really mess things up and get an expensive door stop. yeah i don't like the installers myself. but i followed the the "read me" that came with dark alex's firmware. that i downloaded it from his website. so i trust it.

messing around with flash1 is relatively harmless.

Isn't that where the recovery files are kept.
