RE: Recording videos with the PSP
custom firmware extender 2.2 is what you want to start with note + L trigger =  screenshot, note+ R trigger = start usbhost  note + volume - will bring up help, oterwise look at config, i have camera and lftv redirected in the config.

cfe_2.2 working on 4.01m33 here http://www.sendspace.com/file/8juofc

remotejoy windows executables and drivers here
http://www.sendspace.com/file/sl4p6r

extract the cfe folder to seplugins

add ms0:/seplugins/cfe/cfe_vsh.prx to vsh.txt

add ms0:/seplugins/cfe/cfe_game.prx to games.txt

enable the plugins

go to xmb and press note + R trigger

Windows will say found new hardware, select the driver from the FILES folder of the first zip

Once hardware is found you can start your choice of either of the .exe in the remotejoy package,  I prefer the remotejoy4irs.exe, the other one puts a full psp on your screen LOL

Then once you have video i use windows media encoder to do a screen capture.  The othere .exe has a built in record button but it is very flakey for me on vista 64.

For sound just get a patch cable to go from speaker out on psp to line in on pc and set your audio input source appropriately on the capture program.

OH, if you are runny ANY version of vista, you will have to reboot and press F8 and instead of choosing safe mode, choose Disable Driver Signature Check, then when windows starts you will be able to properly add the unsigned driver.

someone should clean this up and make a TOOTorial or soemting...im sick to the belly and my head hurts, but i had the files uploaded for xander so i figuredi could post this ;)

good luck.

Thanks to matchung for pointing me to poisons updated usbhost file which made this all work in 4.01!!!

heres an example..i had to adjust he sharpness smoothness to get it less blocky on the gradients of other themes :)
