RE: LightMP3 1.7.2
Can I listen to music and play games with this? Because it interferes with Music PRX.
And does this me Music PRX works on 3.80M33-5? If so, what version?

It's not a PRX...
I wonder if this does Vorbis?
The lower CPU clock isn't really much - I can play MP3s fine at around ~15MHz with the XMB MP3 player (plus it's more convenient).

RE: LightMP3 1.7.2
how do you get the CPU down to 15 and still have it play...mine just goes skitz any lower than 67...

This is the XMB player, not a homebrew one. The XMB player uses hardware accelerated decoding, which is faster than software decoding used by this application.
I use a custom PRX to get the speed down to ~15MHz, but the vshex mod for 1.50 can reduce the speed to 30MHz.
Though I think the mod stopped working after 3.10 OE (which is what I'm on :P)

RE: LightMP3 1.7.2
yeah, im on VSH, i use the VSH menu in 3.71M33 to clock it down to 66/67 (something like that, and the next option is about 22 which just slows the music down...i might have a go at making a prx to do it, see if it helps
How are you still on 3.1OE...there much have been something that made you think about upgrading???

RE: LightMP3 1.7.2
Oh ya, I remember when I was on 3.71 for a while - 20MHz made it go slow - dunno why.
But then, the VSH menu is dodgey as well...

RE: LightMP3 1.7.2
?
Don't think so. You could try...
Dunno, don't have a 3.xx kernel version of my PRX (never really got the PSPSDK set up properly).
I know it works under 3.10.
Still, hardware accelerated decoding is faster than software. For a comparison, check out PMPlayer AdVanCe - uses hardware accelerated decoding for MP3 streams, and 480x272 AVC videos play back perfectly @ 66MHz :P
