If it's working fine, ignore it.

RE: computer problems
well like i said - the closest thing to that is where the bios shows a picture instead of all the text before going to the xp screen. but it is impossible for it to start right at the windows boot screen, unless you use hibernate or standby.
i think im not fully understanding what exactly the problem is that you want fixed. try and explain in more detail.

RE: computer problems
well if u use hibernate or standby it will do that. my computers all show that screen and one other before booting - it is perfectly normal. but if you really want rid of it just use hibernate mode or standby mode. the third and final option is find out from the manual if you can enable bootscreen - this hides the text with a pretty picture.

RE: computer problems
pspfreak, the computer MUST go through a whole load of BIOS loading before Windows can ever see the light of day.  That means, NO, you will NOT get "instant" boot-ups.

Your previous computer didn't go through the typical boot sequence because you DIDN'T boot at all (that is, the computer wasn't turned off).

Note that hibernating is considered turning off, so it still goes through the BIOS etc etc.  Sleep/standby does not, but then, you're computer is still on.

Typically, the BIOS procedure is a few seconds, so just be patient.

RE: computer problems
but does it have to show the post thing and the agp screen at the start, can't it do it thing with out this load of poo poo,i just don't understand, when i turned my old pc off, i clicked on (start, shutdown and that was it, and when i wanted to  turn  the computer back on, i clicked on the power button, and it booted up, and i don't ever remember seeing anything like my current pc is doing, i had hibernate and standby turned off on it as well  I'm not a computer expert as you can tell, but i know what i have said is the truth, and i know that before when i first received this pc, it didn't do this at all, something has screwed up somewhere, it isn't harming the pc, but it's just annoying, and i thank you all for helping me out with this
Double post
that's kinda what I'm looking for, something to hide this mess, but still be able to boot the pc, normally.
