[Help] How to Unbrick a PSP 3001?
So one of my friends did what it says below. I can't find anything that can help him with this.
My Friend Wrote:
Quote:Okay so I think I bricked my PSP
I was swithing out the game boot in flash0/vsh/resource i think & then it froze. So i turned the PSP off then on, now it's a black screen. The green power light comes on & the memory stick light flashes then the psp turns itself off.
Any suggestions? I want to avoid sending it into Sony on account of my custom firmware
Can anyone help my Friend?

First tell your friend he's retarded.
If you can get into recovery, I think you can still fix it. If you can't get into recovery, it's fucked good.

sounds like a full brick
If I recall correctly there's no way to unbrick a psp 3k
tell your friend to "Send it to Sony or have it replaced with an another 3k mobo"
if he still want's to use his psp 3k that is

Maybe that will help.
She did already, but it still happen. I guess she's gonna have to send it to Sony.
Thank you all for the comments.

See if you can get into the recovery menu. If you can do that, I heard there are tools that can fix it.

You can totally mess up the resource folder and still get into recovery, from what I recall.
I would suspect that a brick wouldn't read from the memory stick at all. Try pulling out the battery, leave it for a while, then plug the AC adapter in and run on that.

I told my friend to do that and she said it didn't worked.
And she said she can't access the Recovery Menu at all.

I don't know much about PSP 3000s, but it seems like there's no way to fix it apart from sending it to Sony.
