Repair CD Windows 7
So my grandfather  purchased a Dell XPS 15 laptop a couple months ago,
and had some issues he wanted my help with. Yay

But a short while after wee booted it up it got a BSoD Noway
He said it never happened before, and from what is could tell , it seems like a error occured while
he was installing regular updates.

So the current situation is... Erk

-He is running windows 7
-Can't boot into safe mode
-Both of the two options on start up are useless as windows fails to start up and leads to a black screen
-option 1: " Launch startup repair ( recommended)
-option 2: " Start windows normally"
- I can't enter any command prompt like interface that I know of on Win7 without booting into windows.
- I ran a diagnostic scan from the F12 option on start up , and it didn't detect anything wrong with the hardware.
-His laptop didn't come with a disk or anything
So from what I understand , the issue is with the OS , damaged/corrupt system files .

Opinion ? Anyone savvy with Windows 7 have any insight ?
Currently I'm trying to find a repair disk or something , but not getting any results.

RE: Repair CD Windows 7
Start pounding on F8 right as soon as you turn the computer on. It'll bring you to a prompt. Load Safe mode and fix what needs to be fixed.

f8 isn't an option, it's just there, just after bios boot bash f8 and it will come up with a repair menu

Is there any kind of repair disk to repair/replace damaged system files.

RE: Repair CD Windows 7
He said a Live CD. This is usually a Linux OS like Ubuntu. There are also other means of obtaining a Windows installation disc.

you can, you just have to download a windows 7 iso which is the same version as the one mentioned on the oem sticker (home, pro, ultimate) then burn it and install
